An underground myth and legend of Buenos Aires’ multicultural and eclectic scene, Sebastián Matías Martínez, aka BASH, emerged from the outskirts of the city in 1999. This chameleonic drummer has evolved from the retro hardcore-reggae-dub scene into a psychedelic adventurer of hip culture. As a member of the renowned band Nairobi, he collaborated with the legendary Lee “Scratch” Perry, recorded at Ariwa Studios with Mad Professor, and performed worldwide, including a glorious show at Glastonbury Festival. Since then, he has been involved in multiple projects, solidifying his status as a fundamental figure in the city’s art and music ecosystem.
